As a child, Courtney loved the characters and stories brought to life in children’s books. She often drifted off into dreams in a sea of books and stuffed animals. Children’s books continued to play an important role as she provided mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and families; a career she pursued following graduating with a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy.
