A Northern California native, Nancy Mangini has always been fascinated with math and science. She began her professional career as a pharmacist but left it behind to join the personal computing revolution sweeping nearby Silicon Valley in the 1980s. Over the next two decades, she authored a wide variety of technical and scientific publications, "telling the story" of innovations and products that would shape the cultural and economic landscape of the twenty-first century.
In 2007, after earning her MBA from Santa Clara University, Nancy joined the ELORET Corporation's executive team at NASA's Ames Research Center to document the agency's cutting-edge breakthroughs in aerospace software. For her work on the DPLR Software User Manual, she won NASA's 2008 Software of the Year Award, one of the agency's highest honors.
Upon her retirement from NASA, Nancy began writing a science fiction trilogy, The Tandor Chronicles, publishing her debut novel, The Eyes of Tandor, in November 2025.
Nancy lives with her husband, Michael, in Emerald Hills, California, a stone's throw north of Silicon Valley.

When NASA Ames technical writer, Tess Bailey's lab is bombed, and she finds herself near death in the Emergency Room at Stanford University Hospital along with her surviving team of outcast scientists and engineers. It's clear that the powerful Earth-based forces profiting from endless global conflict will stop at nothing to keep them from revealing the identities of those who've been genetically altered in the alien attacks discovered by Tess's team.
To escape the growing violence on Earth, Tess reaches out to a rising female tech leader in Silicon Valley and a friend in the space tourism business to help spirit her team up to the aging International Space Station where they hope to find a safe base of operations.
Meanwhile, in another quantum universe on the planet Tandor, Srnl, the young leader of the alien species responsible for the human genomic attacks on powerful Earth males, works to halt its planet's tradition of invading the DNA of other sentient lifeforms to control evolution in the multiverse. However, like Tess and her surviving team on Earth, Srnl and its followers must also evade the factions on their own planet that oppose the changes the Tandoran leader is trying to make.
Back on the ISS, Tess's team must survive the perils of assassination plots in a hostile space environment while navigating a growing sexist stand-off with male skeptics at NASA, in the White House, and in the international community, all while Srnl struggles to protect them from further attacks across the quantum barrier.
As the interstellar forces of destruction approach, all of Tess's allies on Earth, in space, and on Tandor must join forces to defend the future of humanity.

When Tess Bailey, a skilled NASA technical writer living in the San Francisco Bay Area, learns that her chronic health issues may be due to a unique DNA structure that is also protecting her from the mysterious genetic alterations appearing to afflict decision-makers in Silicon Valley, she assembles a group of retired and outcast scientists and engineers to begin an experiment of epic proportions to discover if and why it's happening. Their incredible answer - that the targeted, DNA-altering energy wavelengths changing the very nature of the human species are coming from a parallel quantum universe - places her team in the crosshairs of Earth-based forces led by altered leaders profitting from a world held in a perpetual state of fear and war. To be taken seriously and mount a defense against this extraterrestrial threat, Tess must prove to the world that the Earth itself is under attack.
On a parallel timeline in another quantum universe, Sern, a junior member of the ruling class on the planet Tandor, commits the unforgivable sin of questioning its' species tradition of imposing their Plan for Order in All Things on other sentient beings through manipulation of native genomes. Renowned for their ability to alter molecular structures with mental energy, elder Tandorans have controlled the development of their own young and sentient beings in other quantum realities since time immemorial until their encounter with the species on Earth that shows signs of resistance to their efforts and a movement on their own planet to overthrow the stifling restrictions of the Plan on their population. Gathering the mental energies of other dissatisfied Tandorans, Sern reaches out across the quantum barrier to the Earth-based species also facing a fight between the forces of freedom and control.
In the greatest battle of their lives, Tess and Sern must find a way to prevail against all odds if their two species' are to survive.
