Lucky puppy Stella lives in a beautiful home with her forever parents, Alexis and James, and her furry brothers, Leroy and Harry. Life seems perfect until Stella’s nighttime dreams, and where they take her, bring up some serious questions. As Stella tries to answer them, a vague memory of someone in her dream returns to her. Suddenly, Stella remembers a picture that may explain the mystery, but she has no idea where to find it.  With the help of her siblings, Stella sets off in search of the proof she needs, but in the end, she discovers much more through her delightful adventure—the importance of family and the meaning of love.

Stella, the cutest little puppy anyone has ever seen, lives in a pet shop and is anxious to find her human parents. One day, the pet shop has a special sale, and Stella meets Alexis and James. Immediately, Stella decides that they are her perfect match, but she is quickly saddened when they leave without her. Alone and confused, Stella listens to the advice of her friend as she struggles to understand what happened. When Alexis and James return for her the next day, Stella is thrilled. However, she soon discovers that finding human parents is not her only problem.
